Mental health rehabilitation: online applications and a new therapy module
The Deutsche Rentenversicherung provides information for people insured in Germany whose mental health or psychosomatic conditions affect their ability to work. Its announcement also introduces a recently added therapy module.

When rehabilitation may be appropriate
According to the DRV, medical rehabilitation may be appropriate when outpatient treatment is insufficient and the ability to work is seriously at risk. The need for treatment requires medical assessment.
What the new module offers
“Neue Medien” complements rehabilitation for people in the second half of life with problematic phone or other media use. Some centres already offer it, including the Taubertal clinic in Bad Mergentheim. The source gives no exact launch date.
How to apply
An application can be submitted online through eAntrag under “Rehabilitation”. Check the module’s availability with the clinic; the announcement does not guarantee approval of an application.
