Questions about the calculator

Does KiZ mean Kinderzuschlag?

Yes. KiZ is the abbreviation for Kinderzuschlag, the child supplement. It is a different benefit from Kindergeld child benefit.

Which salary should I enter?

For each parent, enter average gross and net income over the last 6 months, or provide the months individually if income varied. For a partner without a salary, gross and net can remain at 0.

Does this calculator apply to Familienkasse for me?

No. It provides an estimate before you prepare the documents. Familienkasse checks the application and decides entitlement and the final amount.
